Full Biography

Sho Madjozi was born on May 9, 1992, in Shirley Village, Elim, Limpopo, to Rosemary Phaweni and Marc Wegerif, who headed a non-governmental organization that assisted people with their land claims. Her mother is of African ancestry, and her father is of European ancestry.

Sho Madjozi’s mother raised her after her parents divorced when she was young. Madjozi has half-sisters on both her mother’s and father’s sides of the family. Madjozi had opportunities to travel with her father, Marc Wegerif because he traveled regularly in specific regions of the continent – she followed him to Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, where he worked for the charity organization Oxfam while she was a teenager.
