Oskido is without a doubt one of the pioneering performers that popularized the Kwaito genre of music outside of South Africa’s townships, as well as being important to the growth of Afro-house and opening doors for the new genre known as am a piano. Oskido is a co-founder of Kalawa Jazmee Records (previously Kalawa Records), a record label that has released music by Mafikizolo, Bongo Maffin, and other notable musicians.
