Rashid Meer was an Indian Gujarati ghazal poet, critic, editor, and researcher. Dhabak, a Gujarati ghazal poetry publication, was founded by him. Rashid Meer earned his Ph.D. Saat Suka Pandada (1993), Ghazal Nu Pariprekshya (1995), Thes (1998), and Adhakhula Dhwar (1999) are among his notable compositions. He received the Shayda Award (2003) from the Indian National Theater in Mumbai for his contributions to Gujarati ghazal poetry.
