Thembi Seete is a South African actress best known for portraying Gladys in the Mzansi Magic drama series Gomora. She was born on March 25, 1977, in Soweto, Gauteng. She became well-known in the 1990s when she joined the band Boom Shaka.
Thembi Seete’s father passed away in 2014. She grew raised in Sebokeng, Vaal, with her aunt and uncle. Rebecca Seete, her mother, died in July 2021 from a brain tumor.
Thembi Seete is well known as a part of the kwaito band Boom Shaka from 1994 to 2000. After the trio disbanded, she established a solo career, and everything seemed to fall into place. Thembi Seete had a brief role in the 2000 film Hijack Stories, but she gained her name in the controversial SABC1 drama series Yizo Yizo. She also sang the iconic song Sure Ntombazana for the soundtrack to Yizo Yizo 2, which helped launch her music career.
