Lock-loose forward who spent four years with the Lions before joining the Sharks in 2010. Rugby union footballer Willem Schalk Alberts, who represents Lions in the Vodacom Super Rugby league, was born on May 11, 1984. Prior to joining Stade Français, he played for the Lions and Sharks in Super Rugby as well as the Golden Lions and Sharks in the Currie Cup. Alberts announced at the end of January 2020 that he would be returning to the Lions to support their Super Rugby campaign. He attended Horskool Monument in Krugersdorp for his education.
