Trevor Andrews Manuel was born on 31 January 1956 and is a South African politician. Trevor was the finance minister from 1996 to 2009, serving Nelson Mandela, Thabo Mbeki, and Kgalema Motlanthe. After that, he acted as minister of the Presidency for the National Planning Commission from 2009 to 2014 under former President Jacob Zuma.
