Ntombezinhle Jiyane (DJ Zinhle) was born in Dannhauser, KwaZulu-Natal. She stayed in Newcastle after leaving Dannhauser and attended Siyamukela High School in Emadadeni.
DJ Zinhle began her career in 2004. Originally, she aspired to be a TV presenter and had no desire to be a DJ, until her brother’s passion for mixing vinyls rubbed off on her and her love and passion for being a DJ blossomed. She earned her first break as a resident DJ on SABC 1’s Jika Majika, a youth dance show.
