Kumbirai Katsande, managing director of Nestle Zimbabwe Limited (Nestle), is poised to leave the Swiss multinational’s local branch at the end of September after a four-year tenure.
The renowned business expert, who was in his second stint with the company after joining it from the horticulture group Ariston, presided over the company during its most difficult times and is largely expected to continue his chairmanship role.
According to sources close to the situation, Katsande addressed colleagues yesterday and informed them of his planned departure. They claim that an expat has already been found to succeed the outspoken Katsande, who has served on the boards of various corporations, including Hunyani Holdings and the diversified banking group FBC Holdings.
In addition, he served on the boards of Barclays Bank of Zimbabwe, Olivine Industries, the Grain Marketing Board, and the Cold Storage Company.
