Ronnie Kasrils is a South African politician who was born on November 15, 1938. From April 27, 2004, to September 25, 2008, he served as Minister of Intelligence Services. From 1961 to 1990, he was a commander in Umkhonto weSizwe. From 1987 to 2007, he served on the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the African National Congress (ANC), and from December 1986 to 2007, he served on the Central Committee of the South African Communist Party (SACP).
