Frank Chikane is a government worker, author, and cleric from South Africa. Frank Chikane is an African National Congress (ANC) member. Frank Chikane has been an outspoken opponent of South Africa’s apartheid system. Chikane was heavily influenced by the black consciousness movement. Khotso Chikane was a member of the South African Student Organisation (SASO) and the United Democratic Front (UDF), among other groups.
Khotso Chikane was the founding president of the South African Council of Churches (SACC), the Institute for Contextual Theology (ICT), and other organizations. Throughout it all, Chikane has been an active member of his church, the Apostolic Faith Mission2 (AFM). Frank Chikane retired from the democratic government of South Africa in 2009.
