Stokely Carmichael was born in Trinidad and moved to the United States when he was 11 years old. While attending the Bronx High School of Science, he started working as an activist. As the “Honorary Prime Minister” of the Black Panther Party (BPP), and later as a leader of the All-African People’s Revolutionary Party (A-APRP), he played a crucial role in the formation of the Black Power movement.
