In addition, Maimane served as the Democratic Alliance’s (DA) leader from May 2015 to October 23, 2019, and as the opposition’s leader in the South African National Assembly from May 2014 to October 24, respectively.
Mmusi Maimane has a political career as well as serving as a preacher and elder at Liberty Church. In 2020, he established the One South Africa Movement. On September 24, 2022, Mmusi Maimane established this new political organization. Maimane was elected as the DA’s deputy federal chairperson in 2012, beating out eight other contenders.
