Full Biography
Johnny Sexwale serves as the South African Ambassador to the Republic of Congo (Brazzaville). He was a senior member of the South African Liberation Movement. Johnny joined the African National Congress (ANC) in 1975 and was responsible for recruiting and transporting hundreds of ANC cadres into exile via Swaziland.
Johnny Sexwale was a commander of Umkhonto we Sizwe (MK), the ANC’s military wing in Angola. Johnny was in charge of a sophisticated and sensitive operation that infiltrated MK soldiers into South Africa using forged documents, among other things.
